The Stein lab (steinlab.
org) is within the Department of Genetics and neuroscience center at UNC Chapel hill.
The stein lab seeks to understand the influence of genetic variation on brain development, leading to risk for neuropsychiatric disorders.
the stein lab combines wet lab biology (Stem cell culture, library preparation for next generation sequencing) with bioinformatics (Genome Sequencing analysis and Genetic associations).
Position Summary This position will require culture of iPSC-derived human brain organoids, library preparation for single cell genomics measurements, imaging of organoids using tissue clearing and lightsheet microscopy, and analysis of the resulting data.
previous bioinformatic experience is desired, including experience in distributed computing and R programming.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Ph.
D.
or similar degree Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Previous Experience in either stem cell biology or bioinformatics is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prefer candidates with experience in both wet lab techniques and analysis of the resulting data.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
