Position Summary Information Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit Our primary research interest is to study how cancer driver mutations influence cancer cell fate and malignant evolution.
Our goal is to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms by which cancer drivers establish malignant cell fate decisions (e.
g.
'cancer associated plasticity) and identify evolutionary patterns licensed by cancer drivers that underlie cancer diversification and heterogeneity.
Our work is designed to identify therapeutic strategies that not only counter hallmark cancer properties, but those that specifically exploit unique emergent properties of cancer evolution as susceptibilities.

Position Summary THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 3 YEARS.
The position will provide basic molecular biology bench support and general lab maintenance.
Duties will include working under the supervision of Dr.
Morris to complete molecular biology experimental procedures as well as cell culture, mouse husbandry, and assisting with mouse surgical procedures.
The position will also be relied upon to ensure the lab space is maintained, data and records are organized, and that the purchasing of required supplies is completed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Candidate must have basic knowledge of molecular biology Must have basic familiarity with use of database/spreadsheet, word processing, email/messaging software Must be willing to work with animals (mice).
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Basic training (4-year BA/BS degree) in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
Familiarity with general lab operations is preferred.
Familiarity with the principals of basic molecular biology concerning the analysis and manipulation of DNA (e.
g extraction, PCR, and cloning); RNA (extraction, QPCR, library prep); protein (extraction, quantification, western blot) is preferred.
Experience with cell culture is preferred.
Basic animal handling experience is preferred.
Additional experience with such techniques as flow cytometry/sorting, chromatin immunoprecipitation, next generation sequencing techniques (library preparation), database management is preferred.
Able to complete a number of different tasks simultaneously and have excellent time management skills.
Have a strong record of reliability, consistency and organization.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to follow directions, handle criticism and to work productively with others.

Position/Schedule Requirements Evening work occasionally, Laboratory, Overtime occasionally.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
