Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate research into the neural circuitry of sound processing.
This position will be responsible for providing technical support to other members of the research group as well as conducting independent studies when applicable.
They will also be responsible for a number of important aspects of our research program such as performing surgeries to prepare mice for experiments, conducting behavioral/physiological experiments, utilizing microscopy for histological experiments, and general lab managerial and maintenance responsibilities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Practical experience in animal studies.
Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques with instructions.
Computer skills involving MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
, with the ability to learn new programs.
Interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility, with the ability and experience to work in a team framework in conjunction with principles of community with staff, faculty and students.
Ability to participate and contribute to discussions regarding procedures and goals of the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related discipline.
Previous experience in a laboratory setting.
Experience in programming.
Candidates who are interested in preparing for a future academic career.
Required Licenses/Certifications Special Physical/Mental Requirements Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as required to keep steady workflow and meet deadlines.
Must be able and willing to work with rodents and biohazardous materials.
Must have the ability to perform surgeries, move 20 pounds, and remain in place for up to 2 hours at a time, with or without accommodation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
