Position Summary Information Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG) is one of the nation's oldest and largest multidisciplinary centers devoted to the study of children and their families.
As one of the nation's leading child development research centers, we generate scientific evidence, inform policies, and support practices to promote positive developmental and educational outcomes for children of all backgrounds and abilities from infancy to adolescence.
FPG has a particular focus on the study of vulnerable populations and those who have special needs.

Approximately 280 researchers, implementation and technical assistance specialists, staff, and students work on more than 75 projects related to developmental disabilities; physical, social, and emotional health; early care and education; early intervention and special education, prevention science, and more to address important issues facing all children and families.

Position Summary This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy.
UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
This position will serve as a Research Assistant of funded contracts and grants in the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN).
The mission of the NIRN is to advance the science and practice of implementation, organization change, and system transformation.
The goals of the NIRN are to produce original works and work in collaboration with a network of others globally to influence research, practice, and policy in human services.
The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing evaluation and research support for the day-to-day activities of the project with a focus on quantitative data.
In this position, the successful candidate will not only be required to work with diverse research teams on evaluation and research studies, but also be able to work independently on tasks assigned to them.
These tasks will include, but are not limited to, collaborating with the implementation team lead/data lead with data tasks, milestone reporting, data management (including managing large datasets and cleaning data for analyses), quantitative analysis, report development and writing, data compilation and visualization, requests for data/reports, and literature searches and synthesis.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience This position requires:
Demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely, professionally, and effectively communicate in writing and verbally with staff, faculty, and individuals in other organizations, including report writing and data visualization.
Knowledge of applied research methodologies, ability to collect and organize data for research purposes.
Knowledge of statistical analysis software (SPSS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and internet browsers.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to consistently follow through and follow up with assignments of others.
Detailed oriented work style and demonstrated success in assisting on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work as a team and independently, identify needs and develop and implement improvements.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring accuracy, validity, and integrity of data.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prefer a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience; or Master's degree and at least one year of experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Prefer advanced knowledge and experience in quantitative methodologies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
