Position
Summary:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina is recruiting for a Division Director for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
This will be a clinical-track, full-time faculty position.
The UNC Division of Gynecologic Oncology consists of 10 physicians.
At the main campus, the team also consists of 1 nurse practitioner, 2 division-based nurse clinicians, 2 hospital-based nurse navigators, and 6 fellows in training.
At our Rex campus, in addition to our clinic team, we have 1 PA and 3 nurse navigators; and in Greensboro, we have our clinic team and a nurse practitioner.
This is a faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, and will be tenure track, tenured, or fixed-term, dependent on the candidate's qualifications.
We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has a national reputation, experience working in and leading change, with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
The successful applicant will have a track record of outstanding administrative and leadership skills and will be dedicated to the tripartite mission of excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
The Division Director's role includes financial oversight and strategic planning for the clinical enterprise.
They will have expertise and be clinically active in the ambulatory and surgical care of patients with gynecologic malignancies.
The Division Director will also work to support and enhance the vital research and educational missions of the division and to oversee the professional development of its team members.
The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the top programs in the country, with more than 100 faculty in 10 different divisions and more than 50 residents and fellows.
The department is widely recognized for its innovative clinical care, robust research portfolio, and outstanding residency and fellowship training programs.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
An MD or DO degree with completion of a 4-year ACGME residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and an ACGME approved 3-year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology are required.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Gynecologic Oncology are required.
Excellent qualifications and letters of recommendation are required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and
Experience:
Minimally invasive surgery experience is strongly preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
