General Pediatrics - 412009 Posting Open 10/05/2021 Open Until Yes Position Permanent Faculty Working Inpatient Medical Director for Child Abuse Pediatrics Faculty Position Appointment Fixed Term Faculty Vacancy FAC0003672 Full-time/ Full-Time Permanent Proposed Start 01/01/2022 Position The Section of Child Maltreatment within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) at the University of North Carolina is recruiting a full time faculty member who will serve as the Medical Director for the inpatient child abuse consultation service.
In this role, they will lead development and growth of this service and direct the resident and medical student child maltreatment education curriculum.
Applicants should be BC/BE in Child Abuse pediatrics having fellowship or equivalent post-residency training.
The Child Maltreatment Section is a diverse team including three board certified child abuse pediatricians, one nurse practitioner and two social workers, and includes a state-funded educational program that assures the quality of medical child abuse evaluations across the state.
The GPAM division includes a wide range of clinical services, a long history of important research, a central educational role and active advocacy.
Current clinical care within the division includes a primary care clinic, diagnostic referral clinic, complex care program, adolescent medicine specialty care, clinics addressing behavioral and mental health, in addition to the child maltreatment clinics and program.
Minimum Education and Experience Specific requirements for competitive applicants include being board certified/eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics and having fellowship or equivalent post-residency training.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and This position entails clinical consults in inpatient and outpatient clinics and hospital pediatrics inpatient service.
This position would be an excellent fit for a junior faculty member with a strong interest in education and clinical work.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
