Description of Work
Part-time research assistant to work in Oakland, California to monitor a study at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation. This position requires a flexible schedule. The research assistant will visit RIRE every 2 weeks for 3-4 hours to monitor study appointments and adherence to study protocol for a cigarette warning label randomized controlled trial. The research assistant will need to participate in trainings related to the study protocol. The research assistant will report back to the study's project manager in North Carolina after monitoring visits. The study examines the impact of providing warnings on smokers' cigarette packs. The study is led by Dr. Noel Brewer and his colleagues in the UNC Health Cognition and Behavior Lab ( /).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
